There was a purpose to my weekends caching, in fact several purposes. There was a 37th reunion to be attended in Arundel, which was the excuse for being in that area, there were two challenge caches that I particularly wanted to collect, and finally there were four counties in the southeast of England in which to find a cache.
The two challenge caches, 30 Days and 30 Nights, GC2WN3Y, and 200 Star Challenge, GC36TAT, were both collected successfully which left the four counties. I decided that the easiest way to cover those was with church micros.
I'll apologise now for the cut and paste logs, but with 9 logs to write it's the easiest way. After the first challenge cache I picked up four West Sussex church micros on the Saturday. Following the reunion and the second challenge cache found on the Sunday morning, I collected two church micros in each of East Sussex and Kent, and a further church micro in Essex. Ironically, this qualifies me for another challenge, the Church Micro Three Counties Challenge, GC3A28G. I suppose I'll have to go back and collect that one, one day.
As for the weekends finds they were all straightforward, I wasn't after any multis today, Mrs moap did the navigating and got me parked within 100 metres of every cache, sometimes within ten metres. Plenty of exercise was taken with the challenge caches. All caches were in good order, one had a very full log, maintenance already reported there, one had a crafted container, so that one gets a favourite point.
Thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts, helping me with my personal challenges. All logs signed, trackable visited. TFTC.

We wanted a few caches in Essex to make sure our maps get coloured in for this part of the world, so on our trip back oop North we stopped here for a little walk

A total contrast to St Pauls in Harlow but lovely all the same. A nice quick find here and then we had a stroll around the little churchyard where we same across a huge swarm of ladybirds enjoying the warmth of the sunny day.

Super spooky 2:30 am cache! Happy birthday to my little man. The graveyard scared our dog something fierce; think he saw a ghost?
Having just visited the hospital nearby I popped along to pick this up as part of the 31 days of August. What a beautiful church! Quickly found much to my relief having had 2 DNFs :(. A favourite point for the prettiness of the church.
Nice little church that we wouldn't have had the pleasure to discover had we not been geocaching.

What a beautiful church so enjoyed my wander round. We had to wait for a nosey muggle to wander off before replacing. Tftc
We had to be very stealthy here as a man was unloading stuff from his van and then enjoyed a cigarette. The old shoelace trick seemed to work and I managed to slip the cache to Mrs BHF without the man seeing a thing!

Beware, GZ was full of ants when I retrieved the cache! The man told us he was the verger... Beware The Verger!! He was quite nice really but just keen to know what we were doing as we were so interested in the notice board!!!

Considering we recently move to this town, this afternoon was dedicated to geocaching/known the suburbs of Harlow. This was the first cache of the day, on our way to the Parndon Mill - River Stort.
The place is very special, church very different from what i am used to (architectural point of view).
After a short visit around the place we manage to rapidly find the container. Well hidden.

Well Paul and Chania out and about enjoying the sceanary . Walked straight over it. Then used the compass straight away then.
Found it easily but log sheet needs replacing as full. Beautiful church.
Arrived in the area early for a work meeting so popped in here first to grab this. Lovely church on a beautiful sunny morning. TFTC!
No grave digging needed. Lovely church, door locked; looked very interesting and beautifully kept church yard. Off on bikes from here and NOT raining for a change!

Spent a pleasant day walking the canal path from Old Harlow to Roydon, looking for the excellent set of caches on this stretch of the navigation. Cold and dry with occasional snow flakes. The path has a very good surface, clear to follow and the caches are nicely spaced out and well placed. The station at Roydon allows you return easily to the start.
Popped up the short detour to this charming village church. Easy find, but lots of muggles around although busy at rugby training. TFTC

This was our first ever go at Geocaching, found it with relative ease. Quite exciting for the kids, sadly didn't have a replacement cache or pen to mark the log, so just replaced as found. Will be better armed for the next find!
Found it on the way to work in the snow. As the traffic was better than i planned i had a spare 10minutes.
Nice quick find but mucky to retrieve after all this rain. My waterproof phone cover coming in very useful for keeping the mud off too, well done girls, great summer present! Very quiet here today after all the recent seasonal hustle :0)

Went to Epping to drop a TB off for Riskt4ker with Daemonic so decided to clear up the last East Essex Church micro's i have failed on one but got three.
after failing at Broxbourne on to this and a very quick find could not get in to see the church unfortunatly as it was locked but unusual in its shape

A quieter location than I expected to find in Harlow. Cache quickly found. The 35mm film can is inside a plastic bag with a small soft toy. The cache itself is fine, but the soft toy is in a slightly damp and messy condition.

Warning! On Sundays mornings you have to watch out for the rugby players next door as well as the congregation! I'm not sure which is more scary ;)

Sadie and I found the cache. Our 2nd find today. We couldn't fit our swap in pot, so put with pot in sealed bag. Smurfy! ;-)
Had been shopping nearby so looked on the phone for a couple of nearby caches to grab while in the area, noticed this cache was a Church Micro and as we were nearby IWBRNT, so quickly plumbed the cords into the GPS, drove to GZ and I quickly had the cache in hand, TFTC

Found this today whilst visiting some friends in Harlow. Initially wasn't sure where the gps was taking us then spotted the most obveous place just as we were leaving.

Did a lovely cycle cache along the river today. Weather was dry but a bit cloudy, though still warm.
We cycled the long (nasty) route to this from the canal, via the main roads (no crossing points for pedestrians!!). And it was all for nothing because there was a muggle church man painting the noticboard - we said hello, but he had only just started and there was no way we would be able to grab the cache without him noticing. Shame, however it is indeed a sweet little church that is worth visiting.
We cycled back to the canal the quick, easy way via the mill (though they sure like to put up 'private' signs and hide the 'public footpath' ones, but don't be fooled you do have right of passage).

So lovely to find a nice new log book, found while visiting the area. Found on the right hand side of gate, but I guess that depends which way you approach it. TFTC very pretty church, and close to the rugby club, which is where we are heading later.
Log was so wet I didn't attempt to pull it out of the container. I'll email what else was in there if you want proof of my visit. TFTC

Out caching with my good mate WhiteFriar and on the Church Micro trail. 24 finds in all plus, annoyingly, 4 DNFs. However, good weather throughout, warm for October, and an excellent day.

I hadn't planned to come here but saw it on my GPS while walking along the river. I hadn't planned to do that either, but it was one of those days when an opportunity for a walk popped up... and so here I found myself outside this lovely little church.
Reading the Description just now made me smile. I had realised that it was a Victorian affair and guessed that it would have replaced an older church on the same site. Unfortunately - but all too unsurprisingly these days - the door was locked, so an internal exploration and signing of a visitors' book was denied me.
So to the cache. It took a few minutes of head-scratching to find it. A very simple hide; I'm often surprised how these don't become innocently scooped up during general maintenance. Nice to find it though, and so now back to the river via the mill. TFTC.

Previously found and signed this cache as 'cassandy'. quickly got this one and used it to test gps ( it might be time to buy a new one!)

returned to this one after work, as it's just around the corner for me. Dried the Cache and replaced the paper mache log with a fresh one,in a zip lock bag. Unfortunately, the log was so wet, it was beyond saving.

A gang of 7 cachers from Norway on a day trip to the UK came, found and signed this one but almost couldn't.

On a day trip from Norway together with 6 other cache-friends; Labbetass, TurboGT, Team AletteTi, Mrpb27 and Avigerus.
After a long walk along the canal and a nice lunch at a restaurant near by, we headed for this one. Labbetass found the cache, wet and mudy. But we managed to put our nicks into the log. A nice little church. Thanks for the history and thanks for the cache.

Out for a days caching in and around Harlow, chattering away we walked right past this one at first, i was just commenting what a nice looking church it was when we relised the cache was a good few meters back opps! . TFTC. not hard to find.
After the recent comments of it being on display, i visited the gz to check on the cache, things have been tidied up a little since the cache was hidden, so the location isnt quite as suitable as previously, cache has been moved by 1-2 feet to a new location, and clue updated accordingly.
Since the GC.com site was down, we decided to come back to Harlow and pick up the caches that we already had details for. This was our first of the day on our way to complete the Stort Navi series. Lovely little church. As with previous cachers, the cache was found rather too easily as it was almost in plain site. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Thought the church was beautiful, shame I couldn't look inside as it was locked. Almost trod on the cache as had rolled from its hiding place and was in full view, tried to wedge it back in place a little better although its still quite easy to spot. TFTC

10.20am.its very warm now on this blue sky sunny morning,it got quite busy for a while what with a dog muggle going close by,the noise of trains and a big plane going over,then a car came out of there good job i had parked out of the way as he looked miserable,even though he lived in what looked a posh place? then it was go find and good job i came as it just sat there so after i did the biz i put it back where i think it should go.i read the church details then was off to the next church.thank you for bringing me here.sltn.patandjeff=bones1.
The Cache was sitting out on the floor so I tucked it back out of sight.

Got here just after Team Smudge - fellow cachers. Poked around the graves before thinking that maybe they were not an ethical cache site and then Gilly got a brain wave. (G34.5 C27)

Footballing Smudge has turned into Cricketing Smudge for the summer - but no fear, it still provides plenty of opportunity for caching! Found this one on the way back from his inaugural match. TFTC

I think this one might need a better hiding place. Found in front of the gate and by the looks of things at least one muggle has found and signed the log.
Tried to rehide as best a possible but it's still very obvious from the road.

Decided to take our bikes.....good call! Not too busy given a bank holiday weekend, Easy find with clue. Then back to Dobbs Weir.TFTC TNLN.
Within 10m of where I park to do maintenance on my cache. Nice church. Must have just been far enough from my cache to be placed here. TFTC!

As we were sitting on the bench in the cemetry we were treated to an inpromto strip tease and some rugby songs as we looked for the cache and the rugby season had drawn to a close!!! You never know what you're going to see when you cache!! TFTC

Replaced the cache today as it had gone missing, it looks as though some grounds maintenance has been done and possibly the cache was cleared away with any rubbish.
Didn't find it11 of 12 with the smallest of stones2005. quick pick up. took little torch.

We were going for a walk along the stort but its very flooded, so went to check on the caravan and drove past this on the way. Found without our gps which is a first for us.
This is a lovely church and well worth a visit.

First of five in a morning of caching in Harlow. Parked across the road and the cache was soon found. TFTC.
Second to find again, I must get up earlier in the mornings. This is a great spot hidden away.
Had I carried on down the lane I believe there are some more caches along the river. Will come back with sandra123 as I cant be trusted on my own near water!!! TFTC

Hooray! This one popped up in my inbox on a pleasant afternoon off. Hmmm- FTF attempt or tidying room? I was out of the house within minutes and headed off on foot for this one first. Have passed this Church a few times when heading down to the Stort or to check on the Harlow Drive-Through cache.
Got to this one, and located right away... opened it up, and yes! A blank log! Signed log, then headed off to St Paul's for the next cache! (Thanks to pklong for being on the other end of the phone to confirm the correct road to get me down to the second cache!)
